Who we are
Our main website address is: https://lafamille.club. We also own the domain virtualdaughter.app, but that points directly to the game page.

Your privacy is a concern of ours. It can be difficult to maintain a balance between what is required to send/receive meaningful communication to/from our users and privacy. You are signing up to receive occasional, and we stress occasional, emails from the site. We do not sell your information. In all honesty, we don’t have much of it to begin with, as only minimal info is needed to run this site and communicate with you.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form. All websites use the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to provide you with the best experience and help spam detection as a normal course of events. We recommend a high quality VPN service when accessing the site so that your privacy is maintained without restricting your access. Lower quality VPN services may be blocked because of abuse, and some free ones may actually leak your IP information!
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. This process may be automatic if you signed up with your WordPress account. Please keep in mind this is tightly integrated with WordPress. Don’t use the same email as your WordPress account, and this should not be an issue.
Site membership requires an email address. This is to verify you are a human and to supply you updates on your membership status, the game status and answer feedback, such as bug reports. It is recommended you use a privacy conscious mail service. In the end, you can use any service that does not create bounce-backs, though. You can even use a spam prevention email service like spamgourmet.com, as long as it doesn’t bounce. If emails come back due to not existing or service ToS violations, your account will be removed ASAP. If that occurs, you will have to create a new account.
Media
You are not allowed to upload images and videos to the website without prior permission. You should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will often last for one year unless cleaned out before.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
We make efforts to not include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content, if it exists, from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. For this reason, we remove such content when found. URLs, etc, to other sites must not be included in any comments because these websites may collect data about you and other users, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor any interaction with that embedded content, including tracking interactions with the embedded content, especially if someone has an account and are logged in to that website.
In short, do not include any links in any data left on this website. Your account will likely be made inactive while being investigated and even removed at our discretion.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
Suggested text: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an active account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. We may at our discretion remove your account, which will remove your data, without prior notification. In that event, you will not be able to retrieve lost data. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
